Umberto Eco wrote in "The Name of the Rose": "I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth."
This is one of my favourite quotes, it truely shows how much we illusion ourselves that once we will know everything and be able to understand all. Will this truely be the case though? I don't know. All I know is that we are able to comprehend the movements of electrons and calculate the mass of distant galaxies, yet are not able to solve the simplest problems on Earth, like the starvation and suffering of millions due to lack of basic foods and simple medication.

I'm very surprised I was able to write it all down without breaking down crying, actually.
Thanks again
